First Sentence: This book is about mobile photography: How to use your iPhone to capture life's precious and fleeting moments and memories... anytime, anyplace, anywhere.

Summary: [From BN] Forget all the tech-talk about workflow and archiving, Apple have given us all a camera that takes care of all this for us, so now it's time to take great photos. This book will show you the best ways to approach every possible subject with your iPhone, offering tips as clear and simple as the iPhone's interface. Additionally you'll see some great effects that you won't find in Instagram (but your followers will love).

Thoughts: This book is designed to look and feel like a travel guide. Given that cell phone photography is inherently mobile, that design was the perfect fit for this book. Each page covers a single topic with pull out quotes that highlight the main tips. The photography is, appropriately, beautiful and rich in color.

As far as the written content goes, this book needed a touch more editing. Some of the pull out tips repeat themselves (even on the same page). Overall, the advice is good but it can become repetitive. Unlike other photography books, this one does a great job of focusing on mobile photography. Yes, it includes general photography tips but it also discusses how to shoot in a small format, using filters, mobile apps, editing, and using additional tools. Finally, the author does a great job of not coming across as braggy even though he uses a lot of first person discussion and description.

If you need a crash course in mobile photography, this would be a great book to start with. More advanced users should look elsewhere.
