The Husband and I are in Charlottesville, VA for a long wine tasting weekend. We've done this trip two times before and we always come home with a trunk full of delicious vintages (and the occasional beer growler). Once we're home, we place the fancy bottles in our wine cellar... a re-purposed box in our linen closet.
Occasionally, we'll break out one of the fancy bottles to enjoy and we always try to let it breath to allow for the most flavor and enjoyment. One way we let the wine bloom is through decanting. We actually registered for this exact decanter for our wedding. It works beautifully and looks like an art piece on our bar when it's not in use.
