DC skipped spring and went directly to summer. This week, we hit 90. Twice! When summer rolls around, my tan lines come out to play. I try to avoid being in direct sun as much as possible. When I know I'm going to be outside and shade may be hard to come by, I bring my parasol. Yes, it's old school - but it has saved me from burns so many times. Also, it's a conversation starter.
My mom got me a parasol when she visited Belgium about 20 years ago. I lost it for awhile so I replaced it with one I found on Etsy. There are sooooo many options for parasols on Etsy (just look at all of them!) but I like the traditional white lace.
You can grab this shade giver from the LaceParasols shop.
