Thoughts: I am trying to get into brush lettering. This book is everywhere if you start to look at handwriting, calligraphy, and brush lettering. So, given the abundance of people referring to it, I gave it a go. It's not a bad book, but it's not as awesome as I was expecting. Most of the text is brush lettering which can be difficult to decipher at times. I would have preferred typed text for most of it. The techniques, however, all look great. Dean's advice, once you break through the writing, is easy to follow. She also includes different types of fonts and styles, projects to try, tips for writing and business, and useful tools.
