Who got back on the reading horse this week? I did. Boom!
- Work
- The January/Februrary 2014 issue of American Libraries arrived over the holidays. I perused it during my first day back at work. I enjoyed the article that reviewed the happenings in library land during 2013. Also, has a huge fan of social media, the contagious marketing article was right up my alley.
- This week, I decided it was high time that cleared out the stack of journal articles waiting for me. While I didn't manage to read everything, I put a HUGE dent into my pile. Here's what I perused:
- Student Perceptions of Academic and Social Effects of Working in a University Library
- Student Journey Work: A Review of Academic Library Contributions to Student Transition and Success
- Conducting a Search for an Academic Library Leader: Politics and Pitfalls
- Weeding Worries, Part 1: Books
- Navigating Circular Library Stacks: A Case Study on Signage
- What Five Minutes in the Classroom Can Do to Uncover the Basic Information Literacy Skills of Your College Students: A Multiyear Assessment Study
- Books
- I (finally!) finished The Bronze Horseman. I always enjoyed reading the book but, towards the end, it became the kind of book that I couldn't put down. I stayed up way too late reading it this week. Full review later.
