Hour 17: Wherein Our Reader Beings to Yawn

CURRENTLY READING: Plowing through Blankets.

THOUGHTS?: This book has many layers. I think it will take me awhile to dissect them for my full-scale review.

Brownie and the last of the coffee cake.
COMPANION UPDATE: The Roomie just went to bed; and The Boyfriend is still out. I wonder if I can stay awake without anyone poking me.

ANYTHING ELSE?: Food Network's Chopped is a fantastic show. It is the perfect background companion to read-a-thon.

PAGES READ TOTAL: 1803 (Now I feel like I have to hit 2000 pages)

The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo

I just read Brian Selznick's new book, Wonderstruck. I enjoyed it not as much as The Invention of Hugo Cabret, but I admit to liking both books more in theory than execution. Hope it was a nice break to your day, though, to have some graphic novels in there!

that enough? You've done so much better than I have.

I love MC Beaton's Death of series

Thank you for giving up your prize, I choose By Royal Decree, I don't think I would have picked it up otherwise.

Aarti - This was the first Selznick I've tried. I liked it, so I think I may have to track down his other work.

Book Dragon - Thanks for the poke!
