Useful Things: Local Exploration

Do you ever take the time to explore what's in your neighborhood? I like to walk around my neighborhood, but I have to admit I don't venture far off the beaten path.

Mapnificent is a new (and still developing) tool that shows you where it's possible to travel in 15 minutes time.

Simply click one of the available cities, input an address, and start exploring. Once you're there, a tool in the header bar allows you to adjust your settings based on your available time, if you can bike, and the day/time of the week.

The tool works by combining a average person's walking and/or biking speed, available mass transit options, and Google maps.

Simple, but awesome.
