THOUGHTS: Maybe I should have stuck with reading the original trilogy...
This book caused me to question some of the character motivations and emotions I perceived in the original series. That's not a bad thing but it does, retrospectively, change I how experienced these books. I did like reading more about the characters and I loved seeing where some of their stories went or started. It fleshed out the world a bit more and I love me some world building.
