Potty Prose

I was listening to NPR today, when a story about reading in the bathroom came on. The publisher of the Uncle John's Bathroom Reader series was handing out restroom reading material (and quarters for public toilets) because it is National Bathroom Reading Month. Most passers-by did not seem to keen on admitting that they read in the bathroom (although 60 percent of people do).

I'm not afraid to admit it: I read in the bathroom.

Usually I just continue my current book, but sometimes I read a random snippet from a magazine or what not. And I always wash my hands afterwards.

Does anyone else read in the bathroom (and do you have anything that you absolutely won't bring into the loo with with you)?

Press that Button

I don't know if I mentioned it before, but there is a new poll over in the sidebar. The poll this time will tell me which section of non-fiction I should read next.

I should warn you that my pile of library books/school books/book club books is rather large right now. This poll will probably be up for awhile.

Vote anyway.

If you don't vote you can't complain. That applies to the real elections as well.
